The finalists for the 44th Mick McCabe Miss Basketball award have been decided and it is yet again strong group of contenders.
Five of Michigan’s top senior high school girls basketball players were announced as finalists on Thursday morning.
The prestigious accolade will go to either Tecumseh’s Alli Zajac, Rockford’s Anna Wypych, Wayne Memorial’s Colleena Bryant, Detroit Edison’s Isis Johnson-Musah or Olivia Flynn of Harbor Springs.
The Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan, in conjunction with the Detroit Free Press, selected the finalists and the winner of the award is expected to be announced next month.
Though MLive has no affiliation with the selection of Miss Basketball, we have kept a close eye on the race throughout the regular season.
Check out more information on the finalists below. Players are listed in alphabetical order by last name.
