A public hearing will be held by the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on the Judiciary on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 9 a.m. at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, 100 Church Street, 12th Floor, New York.
The public hearing will be conducted in-person for the purpose of receiving information concerning the fitness of the following candidates who are nominees for appointment by New York City Mayor Eric Adams as judges of Criminal Court: Juan Abreu, David Goodwin, Jevet Johnson, Masateru Marubashi and Lana Schlesinger, and judge of Interim Civil Court: Philip Tisne.
A concise written signed statement of any information or testimony intended for presentation at the hearing must be received no later than 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on the Judiciary, Attention: Ms. Ayanna Sorett, Executive Director, via Email: [email protected].
If any person submitting a written statement elects not to testify at the public hearing, the Committee will determine whether to make the statement public unless the statement specifies that it be held in confidence by the Committee. The Committee will nevertheless present a copy of each written statement to the candidate in advance of the hearing.
