The Marquette men’s basketball team has been on track for a No. 2 seeding in the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season.
But a crucial week for the Golden Eagles (14-4, 8-2 Big East) with two tough road games will likey have an effect on how the tournament committee views them.

Feb. 1 vs. Connecticut: MU suffered from frigid shooting in the first half from three-point range and the foul line, then couldn’t dig out of a 22-point hole in a 77-69 loss to Connecticut on National Marquette Day at Fiserv Forum.
Marquette at St. John’s, Tuesday: The Red Storm is leading the Big East at 10-1, so the Golden Eagles can tie St. John’s in the standings with a win at Madison Square Garden.
Marquette at Creighton, Saturday: The Bluejays are tied with MU for second place in the Big East, but play at Providence before facing the Golden Eagles in Omaha.
