A 65-year-old resident of South Florida was killed with while playing golf in what authorities say was a “random act of violence.”
Brian Hiltebeitel, was playing at West Palm Beach’s Sandhill Crane Golf Club when he was attacked by Junior Boucher, 36. Witnesses told police Boucher began hitting Hiltebeitel with a golf club near the first hole, according to a report by The Palm Beach Post.
Hiltebeitel was pronounced dead at the scene and Boucher faces first-degree murder charges.
The Sandhill Crane Golf Club is located Palm Beach Gardens about 30 minutes northwest of West Palm Beach.
Palm Beach Gardens Police Chief Dominick Pape said police are not currently aware of any connection between Hiltebeitel and Boucher and are still working to determine a motive.
