RALEIGH, N.C. (WLOS) — An investigation is underway after a shooting in the North Hills shopping center area in Raleigh, WTVD reports.
Raleigh police confirmed one man was killed and two other men were injured after the shooting on Friday, Jan. 17.

In a social media post on X just after 11 a.m., Raleigh police said it was responding to a shooting at the 4300 block of the Circle at North Hills Street. Minutes later, police said it was not an active shooter situation.
In a 12:24 p.m. update, police said three people had be shot. One man was killed, one man was in critical condition, and another man had non-life-threatening injuries.
Roads were closed in the area for the investigation, and Wake County schools were under lockdown for a time. As of 12:34 p.m., roads in the area of the shooting remained closed.
