Love was in the air for the tennis community over the weekend.
American ace Madison Keys wed longtime beau Bjorn Fratangelo, a player-turned-coach for the 2017 U.S. Open finalist, in a dreamy ceremony Saturday in South Carolina, where they were joined by fellow tennis pros Jessica Pegula, Taylor Townsend and Jennifer Brady, among others.
“11.23.24 Best weekend of my life. I love you @bjornfrat,” the 29-year-old Keys gushed Monday in the caption of a PDA-filled Instagram post from the big day.
Fratangelo, who played professionally and was once ranked No. 99 in the world, reflected on the couple’s “amazing” day in a heartfelt social media post.
“Can’t put into words how amazing this day was. I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with you @madisonkeys,” the 31-year-old shared Monday on Instagram. “To everyone with us, you all made it beyond what we could have imagined. Love you all.”
Keys, the world’s current No. 20, began dating Fratangelo in 2017, according to reports, and he started coaching her in 2023 after a second-round exit at the French Open that year.
“She had some tough losses and she came home and asked for my help. And the first thing I said was like, ‘Are you sure?’” Frantangelo said to ATPTour.com in 2023.
“Because we’ve done a great job of kind of staying out of each other’s careers over the seven years we’ve been together. And she said yes.”
Keys reached the quarterfinal of Wimbledon and the semifinals of the U.S. Open that year.
The couple is now in newlywed bliss following a lavish affair that boasted a lively dance floor with plenty of confetti, according to footage shared on Instagram.
“Celebrating the happy couple, congrats Madi & Bjorn,” Pegula, a 2024 U.S. Open finalist, shared Monday on the social media platform.
Keys and Fratangelo announced their engagement in 2023.
