BIRMINGHAM, AL (WYMT) – The UK women’s basketball team also came to Birmingham, Alabama to preview the upcoming season at SEC Basketball Media Days.
While talking to SEC Network analysts, UK women‘s basketball head coach Kenny Brooks was asked about the atmosphere in Lexington with both the men’s and women’s programs under new leadership.
“It doesn‘t matter..I could be at Kroger, I could be at Memorial Coliseum, I could be doing anything and someone wants to come up and talk about basketball and the excitement surrounding it,” Brooks said. “Not only our program, but both programs. Two new head coaches. So, we‘re loving every bit of it and we’re excited to go out and represent the University of Kentucky.”
The women’s team will also play its Blue-White game on Friday, Oct. 18 at 6:00 p.m.
