Looking to shop on Thanksgiving or Black Friday? Here is when Green Bay stores will open

GREEN BAY – As online Black Friday deals have gained popularity, stores have taken to celebrating as early as Nov. 3 with deals both online and in-store. While in-person shopping the day of may seem like an outdated practice, many will still be hitting the shops on Nov. 29.

If you are planning on shopping on Thanksgiving or Black Friday, here is a list of Green Bay store hours.

Target closed on Thanksgiving, opens early Black Friday

Target announced earlier this month that its stores would be closed on Thanksgiving Day for the fifth year in a row. Target stores will be opening early on Black Friday, with most locations opening at 6 a.m.

Target also announced that it will have extended shopping hours, from 7 a.m. until midnight, starting on Nov. 30 through Dec. 23.

Walmart closed on Thanksgiving, regular hours on Black Friday

The greater Green Bay Walmart stores — 2440 W. Mason St., 2292 Main St. and 1415 Lawrence Drive — will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. On Black Friday, the stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., as usual, for shoppers.

Meijer open Thanksgiving, Black Friday

Meijer stores will be open for limited hours, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Thanksgiving Day. The retailer will reopen for Black Friday at 6 a.m. Nov. 29.

Bay Park Square Mall closed on Thanksgiving, opens early Black Friday

The Bay Park Square Mall, 303 Bay Park Square, will be closed on Thanksgiving but will open early at 6 a.m. on Black Friday. The mall will close at 9 p.m. on Black Friday.

Costco closed on Thanksgiving, opens early Black Friday

The Bellevue Costco, 2355 Costco Way, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day but will open early at 9 a.m. on Black Friday and stay open till 8:30 p.m.

Fleet Farm, J.C. Penney, Kohl’s open at 5 a.m. Black Friday

Fleet Farm, J.C. Penney and Kohl’s will all be closed on Thanksgiving but will open bright and early at 5 a.m. the following day.

Best Buy, Menards, Dick’s Sporting Goods open at 6 a.m. Black Friday

Best Buy, Menards and Dick’s Sporting Goods will all be closed on Thanksgiving Day but will open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday. Home Depot has not announced its Black Friday hours, but opened at 6 a.m. for the holiday last year.

If you are interested in shopping with local small businesses, Downtown Green Bay will be hosting its Small Business Saturday event on Nov. 30.
