The high school football season is well underway around the country, and it is time to start tracking how Alabama football commits fared over the last week of high school action.
Each week, The Tuscaloosa News will track how some of the top Alabama football commitments performed during high school games the week before. Here’s a roundup of how some of future Crimson Tide players performed during high school action from the week of Sept. 9.
Carver-Montgomery (Montgomery, Alabama), RB, 2025
Performance: Rogers had six carries for 50 yards in Carver’s 26-7 win over Smiths Station, while also adding five receptions for 74 yards. He finished with 124 total yards.
Duncanville (Duncanville, Texas), QB, 2025
Performance: Russell led Duncanville to a 28-24 win last week. He was 20 of 26 passing for 265 yards and three scores while adding nine carries for 40 yards and an additional score.
Millville (Millville, New Jersey), WR, 2025
Performance: Brooks had another standout performance last week in Millville’s 40-7 win. He finished the night with nine catches for 208 yards and three touchdowns, one of his catches landing him at the No. 2 spot on ESPN’s SportCenter Top 10. He also added a 55-yard scoop and score.
Choctaw County (Ackerman, Mississippi), WR, 2025
Performance: Cunningham recorded three catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns in a 29-3 win last week.
Hartfield Academy (Flowood, Mississippi), DL, 2025
Performance: Simmons had nine total tackles, four solo, in Hartfield Academy’s 71-0 win last week. He added five tackles for loss and four sacks.
Moody (Moody, Alabama), LB, 2027
Performance: Willis recorded six total tackles, three solo, along with two tackles for loss in Moody’s 47-0 win over St. Clair County. He also added four quarterback hurries and two sacks.
