CINCINNATI — Former Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones played in the NFL for 12 seasons. He spent eight years in Cincinnati.
Jones admitted to not using his own urine in an interview on Deion Sanders’ new show “We Got Time Today.”
“I cheated the program,” Jones said, via Brent Schrotenboer of USA Today. “Like, I was really good. People don’t know how smart I am, but like, I can say it now. I don’t play no more. But like, I’ve never used my [urine] for a [urine] test. Not one time. Not one time.”
Sanders pushed back, saying that would never fly today. The former Bengals Pro Bowler pushed back.
“It can happen if you know what you’re doing,” Jones said. “Don’t say it can’t happen, pop. Hey pop, don’t say it can’t happen.”
Jones clearly has a strategy that helped him pass his drug tests during his 12-year NFL career.
It’s worth noting that the NFL’s policy has changed dramatically since Jones played in the NFL (2018).
It takes 350 nanograms per milliliter to trigger a positive test in 2025. In 2018, Jones’ last season, 35 nanograms per milliliter triggered a positive test.
