The New York Racing Association canceled the Oct. 11 nine-race card at Belmont at the Big A due to an ongoing maintenance issue at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Earlier Friday, Resorts World Casino treated the roof with a product that has created air quality issues on the building’s top floor which is occupied by racing officials. As a result, Friday’s card is canceled in its entirety.
Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulcasting Friday, and online wagering is available through NYRABets.com.
Friday’s featured listed $150,000 Glen Cove Stakes will be rescheduled.
Live racing at Aqueduct will resume Oct. 12 with an 11-race card featuring the $200,000 Sands Point Stakes (G2T) in race 5 and the $135,000 Floral Park Stakes in race 7. First post is 12:10 p.m. E.T.Â
