Stinger GC teammates Dean Burmester, Branden Grace and Charl Schwartzel are in the field for their home country’s Investec South African Open at Durban Country Club. The tournament, one of the oldest national opens first played in 1903, offers three Open Championship spots to the top three players not already exempt.
Burmester is the defending champion, while Grace won the event in 2020.
Two of the six players in action this week already are guaranteed at least one major start in 2025 – Schwartzel as a past Masters champion and Burmester, who has qualified for the PGA Championship.
Next month’s International Series Macau presented by Wynn, March 20-23, will offer three spots for the Open.
