LITTLE ROCK — The Little Rock Men’s Golf team has officially announced its 2024-25 schedule, one that should challenge the Trojans while also getting the squad prepared for the conference tournament and – hopefully – beyond.
COMPLETE SCHEDULE
“The schedule has come together nicely and will give our student-athletes the opportunity to play all across the country on outstanding golf courses and against the best teams in college golf,” head coach Austin Eoff said. “We will return to five events we played a year ago while adding five new events that give us a great balance to set our team up for a successful postseason run in April and May and return to the NCAA Championships.”
The fall schedule will open Sept. 8 with the Argent Financial Classic in Choudrant, Louisiana (hosted by Louisiana Tech) and include trips to Cincinnati and Notre Dame before the Trojans host their lone home event – the Everett Buick GMC Classic – On Oct. 14-15 at Chenal Country Club.
The Trojans finished as runner-up in the conference last season, while individual champion Archie Smith advanced to the NCAA Regionals.
“We have three of our four All-Conference golfers returning in Archie Smith, Rhett South and Matteo Cristoni. Luke Hagen and Phisher Phillips will also return from last year’s team after solid summers,” Eoff said. “We also look to welcome five new Trojans this year with the addition of Freddie Turnell, Ed Featherstone, and Alex Rowland from England, plus transfers Simon and Lukas Roessler, who are brothers from Chile.”
The spring season opens at The Prestige in California on Feb. 17, takes a detour in Louisiana a few weeks later, then heads back to the Pacific Northwest for a busy week of top competition at the Oregon Duck Invitational (March 24-25) and The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford on March 27-29.
The OVC Championship is scheduled for April 20-23 in Cape Girardeau, Mo., followed by the NCAA Regionals and National Championship in May.
