TUCSON, Ariz. – After opening the spring with an even first round, the Lions shot 14-under through most of the second round to sit in the top four after the first day of competition at the N.I.T.
As a team, LMU is 14-under par and one stroke back of third place. Teams had to halt play between the 15thand 16th hole of the second round and will resume in the morning on Tuesday before heading into the final round.
Alejandro Alonso is tied for 10th after recorded a pair 3-under scores in each round to sit at 6-under par.
Trevor Algya is tied for 12th with his 5-under score.
Mason Snyder is three under and in 22nd place.
After shooting 3-over in the opening round, Cade Anderson moved back into even after going 3-under through 15 holes in the second round.
Closing out the five for the Lions, David Gutierrez is at 6-over.
The 76 players will conclude their second rounds in the morning before moving right into the third round.
