MOSCOW, Idaho – Learfield, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for University of Idaho Athletics, has named Katie Elliott the new General Manager of its locally based team, Idaho Vandals Sports Properties (IVSP).
As general manager, Elliott will serve as the primary Learfield liaison related to the university’s comprehensive athletics multimedia rights agreement and corporate partner platform. She will work closely with Director of Athletics Terry Gawlik and the entire athletics administration on all aspects of the relationship between Learfield and Idaho Athletics.
“We are thrilled to have Katie leading the charge in connecting our athletic department and terrific Vandal fanbase with the businesses of our community and region,” Gawlik said. “Her experience throughout the state and region will be invaluable, and we are always excited to bring a University of Idaho alumnus home to Moscow.”
Elliott brings more than 25 years of experience in business development and sales leadership to IVSP, most recently serving for 16-plus years as an Account Executive and Local Sales Manager for Morgan Murphy Media in Spokane, Wash. Throughout her career, she has excelled in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales as well as client acquisition and retention, frequently leading her organization in sales metrics including new business, and has grown to supervise and lead sales teams since being promoted to Local Sales Manager in 2017.
“I am thrilled to return to my alma mater and take advantage of this opportunity with Learfield,” Elliott said. “I am confident my professional experience combined with my love of the Vandals will benefit the University of Idaho and Vandals Athletics. I am eager to learn from the amazing support at Learfield and leverage my contacts to bring a spotlight to the Palouse with the energy Terry Gawlik has created here. Go Vandals!”
Elliott is a University of Idaho alumnus with a B.S. in Marketing from the College of Business and Economics, and returns to the Palouse having previously resided in Moscow for 11 years following her graduation.
