PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Learfield, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Brown University Athletics, has named Zachary Soulier the new General Manager of its locally based team, Brown Bears Sports Properties.
Soulier comes to Brown from nearby Quinnipiac University where he spent the last two years as Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Partnerships with the Bobcats. In that role, Soulier was responsible for leading the development and growth of the corporate partnership program to generate revenue and community relationships for the athletics department and its development arm.
As general manager of Brown Bears Sports Properties, Soulier will serve as the primary Learfield liaison related to the university’s comprehensive athletics multimedia rights agreement and corporate partner platform. He will work closely with Calhoun and the entire athletics administration on all aspects of the relationship between Learfield and Brown University Athletics.
“Zachary has gained excellent experience both inside and out of the sports industry and will bring a great new perspective to the Brown Bears Sports Properties team,” added Daryl Jasper, Vice President of Sports Properties at Learfield. “We’re thrilled to have him join the Learfield family and lead a growing property at Brown University.”
Soulier spent a year and a half outside of the sports industry, split between time as Sr. Account Executive, Growth Segment at VidMob and District Manager, Channel Partnerships at ADP. He spent the first seven years of his career with the Boston Celtics, starting as an account executive in October 2014 before his promotion to Sr. Account Executive in September 2018.
“I am extremely excited to be joining the Brown University Athletics community and leading the charge of Brown Bears Sports Properties,” Soulier said. “The energy and momentum surrounding the division can certainly be felt not only on campus but also in the broader Providence community. I can’t wait to get going and build on an incredible foundation that has been established here at Brown.”
Soulier holds a B.A. in Public Administration from Stonehill College, where he competed for and was named captain of the baseball team. He added an MBA from Providence College in 2022.
