LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – The Lawton Public Library is going to be hosting the third annual mini-golf fundraiser this weekend.
Staff members and sponsors will compete for who designed the best golf hole and visitors will get the chance to vote for the favorite designed hole.
The library will provide the drinks and snacks for purchase and money also will go toward fundraising.
“It’s a good way to raise awareness about the friends at the Lawton Public Library, who generously pay for all of our programs that we offer to the public,” Community engagement associate at the LPL, Julia Bittner said. “Some of our reading programs and any sort of updates we might need are here at the library. It’s also just a fun way to get people into the library and have a good night and fun here.”
Suggested donations for the event are $2 per person or $10 for the family.
The fun will begin at 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, the event will continue on Sunday, March 9, at 12 p.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. later that evening.
