All Team Europe vs Team World Laver Cup 2024 tennis matches will be available on live streaming in India.
Team Europe won the first four editions of the tournament but Team World bagged the previous two iterations of the competition.
The Laver Cup 2024 will also be the last time for tennis legends Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe, captains of Team Europe and Team World, respectively. The two greats will conclude their tenures after this edition.
Germany’s Alexander Zverev, the Tokyo 2020 gold medallist and world No. 2, headlines Team Europe with Spain’s Paris 2024 silver medallist and world No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz.
Neutral athlete Daniil Medvedev, fifth in the ATP Rankings, Norway’s Casper Ruud (world No. 9), Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov (world No. 10) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (world No. 12) complete the strong European line-up. Rafael Nadal was also slated to compete for Team Europe but pulled out at the last moment.
Team World, meanwhile, will be powered by USA’s world No. 7 Taylor Fritz, who won the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics in men’s doubles.
Laver Cup, in its seventh edition, will see five sessions of play over three days. Six of the top players from Europe will compete against the six from the rest of the world in singles and doubles matches during the tie.
The tournament is named after Australian tennis legend Rod Laver. Swiss maestro Roger Federer, former Brazilian Davis Cup player Jorge Paulo Lemann and Tennis Australia came together to launch the Laver Cup in 2017.
