Sophomore Kylie Gernaat carded one of the top rounds during the final round of the Midwest Region Classic on Saturday.
The sophomore from Kalamazoo, Michigan (Kalamazoo Christian HS) fired a 1-over-par 73 to help the Hope College women’s golf team finish 14th at the 33-team event.
The Flying Dutch recorded a team score of 325 after a first-round 339 on Friday.
Gernaat shot 10 strokes better than her opening round and tied for 22nd place in the 190-golf field.
Sophomore Rachael Jones (Grove City, Ohio / Grove City) topped Hope with a 10th-place finish.
Jones posted a final-round 74 after a first-round 80.
Sophomore Jaiden Winters (New Carlisle, Indiana / New Prairie) chipped in an 82 on Saturday.
Junior Caydee Constant (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) carded a final-round 83.
Sophomore Allyson Zuidema (Northville, Michigan / Northville) shot an 85 on Saturday.
Senior Sarah Owens (Charlotte, Michigan / Charlotte) finished with an 86.
Hope’s next tournament is Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Saint Mary’s College at Elbel Park Golf Course in South Bend, Indiana.
