East Avenue worked Thursday for the first time since his 10th-place finish in the Grade 2 Risen Star on Feb. 15.
The Medaglia d’Oro colt breezed four furlongs in 48.2 seconds at Fair Grounds, 10th fastest of 54 at the distance.
Trained by Brendan Walsh, East Avenue won his debut by eight lengths and then led gate to wire in winning the Breeders’ Futurity (G1) in October. His ninth-place finish was attributed by many to his stumble at the start, but he folded after stalking the pace in the Risen Star.
East Avenue was one of six horses in Las Vegas futures for Kentucky Derby 2025 with published works Thursday.

Authentic Gallop (Authentic) worked five furlongs in 1:00.6 at Fair Grounds on Thursday morning. It was the seventh fastest of 27 works at the distance. His previous work was 10 days ago going five furlongs at Fair Grounds. In his last start he won an allowance race going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Oaklawn on Feb. 7 for trainer Tom Amoss.
Built (Hard Spun) worked four furlongs in 49.2 seconds at Fair Grounds on Thursday morning. It was the 20th fastest of 54 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed third in the Risen Star (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Fair Grounds on Feb. 15 for trainer Wayne Catalano.
Clock Tower (Not This Time), a Grade 3 winner (2024 Cecil B. DeMille), worked five furlongs in 1:04.6 at Turfway Park on Thursday morning. It was the fourth fastest of five works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed fourth in the Robert B. Lewis (G3) going one mile on the main track at Santa Anita on Feb. 1 for trainer Wesley Ward.
Colloquial (Vekoma) worked four furlongs in 52.7 seconds at Palm Beach Downs on Thursday morning. It was the slowest of 10 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won a maiden race going 6 1/2 furlongs on the main track at Aqueduct on Feb. 7 for trainer George Weaver.
Naughty Rascal (Rogueish) worked four furlongs in 48.6 seconds at Tampa Bay Downs on Thursday morning. It was the fifth fastest of 25 works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going four furlongs at Tampa Bay Downs. In his last start he placed sixth in the Sam F. Davis going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Tampa Bay Downs on Feb. 8 for trainer Gerald Bennett.

Caldera (Liam’s Map) worked four furlongs in 50.4 seconds at Oaklawn on Wednesday morning. It was the 48th fastest of 75 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed second in the Sunland Park Derby going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Sunland Park on Feb. 16 for trainer D. Wayne Lukas.

First Division (Omaha Beach) worked four furlongs in 49.6 seconds at Oaklawn on Tuesday morning. It was the 37th fastest of 75 works at the distance. His previous work was 11 days ago going four furlongs at Oaklawn.
