Citizen Bull, the champion juvenile male of 2024, worked a bullet at Santa Anita on Saturday morning. He went five furlongs in 59.0 seconds, the fastest of 106 horses over the course and distance. According to a release from Santa Anita Park, he did so in company with 4-year-old Pilot Commander.
Citizen Bull has been a regular on the Santa Anita work tab since Dec. 13, working every seven to eight days. Unraced since the Breeders’ Cup, Citizen Bull is one of 13 nominees to the Grade 3 Robert B. Lewis at Santa Anita next Saturday.
Poster, winner of the Remsen at Aqueduct on Dec. 7, worked Saturday for the fifth time since that win. He went five furlongs in 1:02.6 over the Tapeta at Turfway. The Eoin Harty trainee is one of 19 horses nominated to next Saturday’s Withers at Aqueduct.

Burning Glory (Into Mischief) worked four furlongs in 49.2 seconds at Payson Park on Saturday morning. It was the fastest of 34 works at the distance. His previous work was 10 days ago going five furlongs at Payson Park. In his last start he won a maiden race going one mile on the main track at Churchill Downs on Dec. 1 for trainer Bill Mott.

Clock Tower (Not This Time), a Grade 3 winner (2024 Cecil B. DeMille), worked five furlongs in 1:01.4 at Santa Anita on Saturday morning. It was the 54th fastest of 106 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going five furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he won the Cecil B. DeMille (G3) going one mile on the turf at Del Mar on Dec. 1 for trainer Wesley Ward.
Donut God (Into Mischief) worked five furlongs in 59.5 seconds at Palm Meadows on Saturday morning. It was the fastest of 22 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Palm Meadows.
