The Knicks will play their second game inside the division when they travel to Philadelphia to face the 76ers on Tuesday night.
It’s been an uneven campaign thus far for the visitors, who are 4-5 and coming off a 132-121 loss to the Pacers.
As for the 76ers, they snapped a five-game losing streak with a 107-105 overtime victory over the Hornets.
Incidentally, both of Philadelphia’s victories this season have come in overtime. The good news for the 76ers is their star center, Joel Embiid, is set to make his season debut vs. the Knicks.

Embiid’s return should help a Philadelphia team that ranks 27th with an offensive rating of 107.4 points per 100 possessions.
Philadelphia is particularly poor at defending the perimeter, ranking 28th in opponent 3-point percentage (37.8 percent).
It’s worth noting that the Knicks are shooting 39.5 percent from beyond the arc, which is the third-best mark in the league.
Although these teams rank 27th or lower in pace, this matchup still has the potential to be high scoring. The Knicks will have an advantage on the perimeter, while the 76ers have a knack for getting to the line, averaging the third-most free throw attempts (27.2).
That number should go up with Embiid back in the mix, possibly leading to a dream scenario for Over bettors, with the 76ers having more opportunities to score with the clock turned off.
With my model projecting a total closer to 223, there’s sufficient value on the Over at 212.5.
