KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Kingsport leaders are urging residents to support local businesses this holiday season through a new initiative called the Peppermint Trail. Running now through January 5, the trail offers shoppers a chance to explore festive storefronts and seasonal treats from local shops, restaurants, and bakeries.

Fifteen businesses are participating in the festivities, offering peppermint-inspired drinks, desserts, and unique gifts.

Ashley Cline, Visit Kingsport’s Marketing and Special Events Coordinator, said, “All kinds of businesses throughout Kingsport are offering holiday-inspired peppermint-flavored items to shop at, things to try to eat or drink, all the things. People are just encouraged to go by, visit, support local businesses and small businesses, and try some peppermint things while you’re at it.”
