King Charles to host Qatari royals at Buckingham Palace
The King and Queen will host the Emir of Qatar and his wife during a state visit to the UK, Buckingham Palace has announced.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sheikha Jawaher will stay at Buckingham Palace when they arrive on December 3 for a two-day visit.
The British-educated sheikh became emir of Qatar in 2013 at the age of 33 following the abdication of his father, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Invitations to foreign leaders for a state visit to the UK are made on the advice of the government.
