LPGA announces Valhalla Golf Club to host 2028 Solheim Cup
LPGA officials announced the 2028 Solheim Cup will be held at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Madison Central High School boys golf team is halfway home to its third straight state championship.
The Indians posted a team score of 4-over-par 292 on Tuesday to take the lead at the midway point of the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA State Golf Championships at Bowling Green Country Club.
Madison Central is looking to become the first squad to win three straight boys golf state titles since St. Xavier accomplished the feat from 2014-2016.
Trinity is in second place entering Wednesday’s final round after carding a 299. Taylor County (307) is third, followed by Christian Academy (309) and McCracken County (311).
Madison Central’s Tucker Jones and Lexington Catholic’s Charlie Spiller are tied for the individual lead after carding 2-under 70s.
Trinity’s Liam O’Grady joins George Rogers Clark’s Evan Taylor and North Laurel’s Brady Hensley in a three-way tie for third at 71. St. Xavier’s Luc Kelty and South Oldham’s Griffin Barke are in a four-way tie for sixth place at 72.
Also scoring for Madison Central were Jake Feldhaus (73), Seth Barker (74) and Radney Bales (75).
Joining O’Grady for Trinity’s team score were Grant Howard (75), Carson Long (76) and William Hudson (77).
Scoring for Christian Academy were Zach Gladieux (76), Luke Elliot (77), Will Judd (77) and Campbell Parsons (79).
