Sovereignty, who became a Kentucky Derby contender with his win in the Grade 3 Street Sense, worked at Payson Park on Monday for trainer Bill Mott.
The Into Mischief colt breezed four furlongs in 49.2 seconds, second fastest of 16 works at the distance. He returned to the tab Dec. 24 for his first work since the Oct. 27 Street Sense, breezing three furlongs in 38.0 seconds.
Soveriegnty, a Godolphin homebred, was the second choice in Caesars Sportsbook of Nevada futures for the Derby on Sunday at 15-1, behind Barnes. He was at 25-1 on the morning line for the third pool of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager, which opens Friday and closes Sunday.
Authentic Gallop, who also worked Wednesday, is entered in an optional-claiming allowance at Fair Grounds on Monday. The Authentic colt trained by Tom Amoss broke his maiden last month in his fifth try. He was at 125-1 in the Las Vegas futures.

Burning Glory (Into Mischief) worked five furlongs in 1:03.8 at Payson Park on Wednesday morning. It was the 13th fastest of 14 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Payson Park. In his last start he won a maiden race going one mile on the main track at Churchill Downs on Dec. 1 for trainer Bill Mott.
Coal Battle (Coal Front) worked four furlongs in 52.2 seconds at Delta Downs on Wednesday morning. It was the 23rd fastest of 31 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the Smarty Jones going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Oaklawn on Jan. 4 for trainer Lonnie Briley.
