Kentucky Derby winner Mystic Dan will be in New Orleans this week. Here’s how you can see him.
After winning the 2024 Kentucky Derby in May, Mystik Dan is back in New Orleans for the $150,000 Louisiana Champions Day Classic at the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots on Dec. 14.
The American Thoroughbred, who previously trained at the Fair Grounds in preparation for the Derby, will remain at the race course with his trainer Ken McPeek this winter as he prepares for the G1 Malibu Stakes at Santa Anita later this month.
Fans will be able to celebrate the horse up close on Saturday during the third race of the day when he’s parade over to the paddocks where he’ll remain throughout the race.
