Poster, the undefeated colt trained by Eoin Harty, joined the Kentucky Derby 2025 leaderboard at no. 8 after winning the Grade 2 Remsen by a nose Saturday at Aqueduct.
It was the first stakes test for the Munnings colt, who won his debut at Ellis Park and then a Keeneland allowance to go 3-for-3. He picked up 10 points for the win.
Poster joins another Harty trainee, First Resort, in the top 10. He won the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) gave him 10 points and put hi at no. 7 on the leaderboard.
Harty has had three Kentucky Derby contenders, most recently American Lion, who finished 11th in 2010. His best finish was with Colonel John, who was sixth in 2008.
Citizen Bull and Gaming, both trained by Bob Baffert, remain at 1 and 2 in the standings and haven’t raced since finishing in that order in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.
This weekend brings two more points preps, the Remington Springboard Mile and the Los Alamitos Futurity (G2). Both offer 10-5-3-2-1 points to the top five finishers.
