MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball is back from two straight road games to face No. 23-ranked West Virginia at 5 p.m. Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum.
K-State (7-11, 1-6) has lost six straight games since opening Big 12 play with a victory over Cincinnati on Dec. 30 but held a double-digit lead in the second half at Baylor on Wednesday before again faltering down the stretch and falling 70-62 to the Bears.
West Virginia followed its victory over then-No. 2 Iowa State last Saturday with an upset loss to Arizona State at home Tuesday. The Mountaineers also have impressive victories over Gonzaga, Arizona and Kansas on their résumé.

Kansas State has covered the spread while losing each of its last three games. Now that the Wildcats are finally favored, they have to win to cover.
This looks like an opportunity for the Wildcats to finally end their six-game losing streak, but to do so they most likely will have to win a close, low-scoring game.
Prediction: Kansas State 70, West Virginia 68
