BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission said July was the busiest for air travel ever recorded.
Passenger boarding numbers reached more than 112,000. That exceeds the record set back in 2014.
“Because the airlines are seeing the demand in North Dakota, especially with that leisure travel or here in North Dakota with the economy that we have, a lot of folks who have discretionary income that can take the trips, so that is why we are seeing that increase in seats is because again the airlines are seeing that demand here,” said Marketing and Operations Manager Matthew Remynse.
Remynse said the airport is always networking with airlines to add more locations for flyers and services.
