Journey’s End Refugee Services is cutting 20 staff members following an executive order from President Donald Trump that reduces funding from the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. Those supports include Immigration Legal Services, employment, education for adult English language learners, Interpretation and Translation, mentoring and more
Journey’s End says more than 80% its funding comes from the program.
Journey’s End says it remains committed to serving families and providing support services to all impacted workers.
“This was not a decision we made lightly,” said Pamela Bos Kefi, chief executive officer at Journey’s End Refugee Services. “Our team is the heart of our organization, and we are deeply grateful for their dedication and service. We remain committed to our mission and will continue providing essential support to refugees and immigrant communities. We are hopeful that by making these difficult choices now, we can strengthen our ability to serve refugees and immigrant communities in the long run. We appreciate the support of our community during this time and ask for continued engagement as we navigate this transition.”
