Voodoo: The hyper- and hybridcasual games giant has hired Felipe Mata as its general manager. He joins from FunPlus, where he worked for almost three years and was head of the company’s Barcelona studio. Prior to that, he spent over seven years at Candy Crush firm King.
The French publisher has also added Playtika and Moon Active veteran Yuval Dor to its ranks. Dor also joins as general manager of the Coffee Pack studio, moving from Moon Active where he was also general manager. Prior to that Dor worked at Playtika for nearly nine years, most recently as executive general manager.
Homa: The publisher has hired Szymon Sirocki as its new lead mobile architect. He joins from Playtika, where he spent seven months as technical lead, and, before that was the chief technical officer for BoomBit and the Unity team lead for Moon Active.
Tactile Games: The Lily’s Garden maker has made four new hires. Başak Didem Dağlıoğlu joins as senior performance marketing manager after almost four-and-a-half-years at Peak. Hande Çallı has joined as a game programmer, having previously worked at Bigger Games and Gybe Games. Melike Sengul, meanwhile, has been hired as a level designer from Ace Games, and Ubisoft vet Abhijith Bontadka has been brought in as a game analyst.
Trailmix: The Supercell-backed studio has hired Ivan Babkin as a product analyst. He previously worked at dating app Bumble.
Apple: The iPhone firm has hired Anton Kvashnevskiy as a client partner for search ads. He comes on board in the wake of a three-year stint at Nexters, latterly as head of biz dev and ads monetization.
Mattel: The toy giant has appointed Ken Wee as its chief strategy officer and EVP. He previously worked in the same position at Activision Blizzard, where he worked for almost five years. Wee has also worked at McKinsey and Citigroup.
Aptoide: The alternative app store specialist has hired Sam Turner as its new business development director for the US. Turner joins from FRVR, where he was new partnerships manager.
Climax Studios: Industry vet Alex Lee has been hired by the UK developer as commercial director. Across his career, he has worked at the likes of PlayStation, Netflix, Google and EA’s Maxis studio.
PlayerUnknown Productions: Mobile game industry veteran Kim Nordstrom has been appointed CEO of the Amsterdam-based studio founded by PUBG creator Brendan Greene. Nordstrom was previously head of studio at the firm, and has previously worked in senior roles at PlayStation, King and Paradox.
Adikteev: The ads company has snapped up Federico Davoli as its director of business development for EMEA. He joins after almost four years at Tilting Point and a nine month stint at China’s Yoda1 Games.
Nexters: The Hero Wars maker has appointed Olga Egoshina as its new director of business development. She joins from Playrix, where she worked for over six years, most recently in the same position.
Redline Games: The Indian games firm has hired Diya Sengupta as art director. She was previously worked in similar positions at the likes of Lost Ferry Interactive and Dawon Entertainment.
SuperGaming: The Indian firm has promoted Abhijeet Bhattacharya from marketing director to associate vice president of marketing. He initially joined the company back in 2021; this was first role in games. Prior to this, he held marketing and brand lead roles in the food industry.
Yodo1 Games: The Chinese games firm has promoted Milos Scepanovic from global recruitment lead to head of growth. Before joining the company in 2023, he worked at Ubisoft’s Kolibri Games, following a three-year stint at Megarama Games.
