ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – If you are looking for a new job, mark your calendar for a job fair that is happening soon! It will take place at the Martin Luther King Jr. Branch of the Rapides Parish Library on October 23.
This event is organized by the Rapides Parish Police Jury and the Louisiana Workforce Commission to help community members find jobs.
“We’ll be showcasing jobs in the area focused on District D,“ said Sharon Neal, Director of the Rapides American Job Center. ”It’s a way to help job seekers and local employers who need to hire.”
“This means a lot,” said Ernest Nelson, a member of the Rapides Parish Police Jury. “I want to see the public get involved. Young people need jobs. We’re trying to encourage our young folks to stay here instead of leaving our state.”
The community job fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with local employers!
The Martin Luther King Jr. Branch of the Rapides Parish Library is located at 1115 Broadway Avenue in Alexandria.
