Some notable headlines going into the Sunday Night Football matchup between the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers were Russell Wilson starting in place of Justin Fields and Davante Adams being traded to the Jets and reuniting with Aaron Rodgers.
When the game began it was a Louisville native who stole the show.
Pittsburgh Steelers undrafted rookie cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr., recorded the first two interceptions of his NFL career against Rodgers.
Bishop is a Pleasure Ridge Park High School graduate who was a 2-star prospect in high school and the No. 19 recruit in Kentucky for the Class of 2018, according to 247Sports Composite.
He started his college career at Western Kentucky before transferring to Minnesota and then West Virginia.
In his last collegiate season at West Virginia, Bishop recorded 67 tackles, four interceptions and led the nation in passes defended (24) and pass breakups (20). He was the second cornerback in program history to be named a consensus All-American.
With the Steelers, Bishop has 19 tackles, four passes defended and two interceptions through seven games.
