Chiefs sign Wales rugby star Rees-Zammit: Reports
The Chiefs waived Rees-Zammit, who spent all of training camp with the franchise, while trimming their roster down to 53 players this week.
Rees-Zammit finished the preseason with seven touches for 25 all-purpose yards and a tackle on special teams. As a kickoff returner, he averaged 31.5 yards.
The Chiefs hoped to sign Rees-Zammit to their practice squad. The former Wales star instead joins the Jaguars who’ve been a fixture in the NFL’s international games in recent years.
The Jaguars also signed offensive lineman Blake Hence and safety Matthew Jackson to their practice squad.
