Jack Draper pulls out of Carlos Alcaraz training camp with hip injury
Jack Draper had no issue leading a charity walk for the British tennis fraternity from Hammersmith to Putney on Wednesday, but practising with Carlos Alcaraz is a step too far after a hip injury forced the cancellation of a pre-season training block in Spain.
The 22-year-old, who has just enjoyed the best year of his career by reaching a world ranking of No15, has put on hold his preparations for 2025 after suffering a recent setback on the court. While he is still confident of recovering in time for the Australian Open, which begins on January 12, he was less certain about representing Great Britain in the season-opening United Cup from December 30.
