MADISON, Wisc. — Indiana lost to Wisconsin Tuesday evening at the Kohl Center by a final score of 76-64.

Wisconsin led 40-28 at halftime.  The Hoosiers were led in the game by Mackenzie Mgbako with 15 points.  Luke Goode added 11 and Myles Rice posted 10.

Indiana (14-9, 5-7) will next host Michigan on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.

THREE KEYS TO THE GAME

1. A ridiculous start.  The game was over before Indiana knew what hit them.  Wisconsin jumped out to a 26-4 lead just 7:22 into the game.  The Badgers made seven of their first eight threes as Indiana played lethargically on the defensive end.  Meanwhile the Hoosiers made just 2-of-11 overall from the field to start the game and added three turnovers in that opening stretch.  IU would never get closer than 11 the rest of the way.

2. Disparity from three.  Wisconsin had a much more productive evening from beyond the 3-point arc.  Most of the damage came in the 7-of-8 start, but the Badgers shot 12-of-29 for the game (41.4%), while IU made 7-of-27 (25.9%).  And Indiana wasn’t much better from two.  Overall the Hoosiers made just 40.4% from the field and added 11 turnovers.

3. Where’s Ballo?  Indiana starting center Oumar Ballo has been highly productive for most of the season, but he had one of his worst games of the season in Madison.  The 7-footer scored a season-low four points and added just six rebounds to go with three turnovers in 26 minutes.  It was his second-lowest rebounding output of the year, as were his three field goal attempts.
