Empire State Development announced a landmark partnership with ITT Inc. on Monday, unveiling plans for up to $85 million in capital investments across its New York facilities. The project is expected to create up to 75 new jobs over the next five years, reinforcing the region’s position as a cornerstone of New York’s manufacturing sector.

The largest share of ITT’s investment will go to Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls, a flagship facility that serves as the headquarters for ITT’s Industrial Process segment. With an investment of $72.5 million, the company plans substantial upgrades to machinery, equipment, and infrastructure, while creating up to 45 new jobs. The facility currently employs around 620 workers and plays a critical role in manufacturing industrial pumps used worldwide.

Additionally, ITT will invest in its Enidine facility in Orchard Park, with $11 million allocated to modernize operations and add 25 jobs. Meanwhile, the Syracuse-based Embedded Motor Drive (EMD) facility will see a $1.5 million investment, resulting in five new jobs.

State leaders are hailing ITT Inc.’s latest investment in New York State’s manufacturing sector, emphasizing its potential to strengthen local economies, create jobs, and foster long-term growth across multiple regions.

State Senator Thomas F. O’Mara highlighted the importance of sustained state investments in manufacturing hubs like Seneca County and the Finger Lakes region. “These ongoing state investments and incentives are critical to strengthening the manufacturing sector and local economies here in Seneca County, across the Finger Lakes region, and throughout New York State,” O’Mara said. “ITT is a global manufacturing leader and we look forward to continuing to work to grow and expand its Upstate New York workforce in the years ahead.”

State Senator Patrick Gallivan echoed O’Mara’s sentiments, pointing to ITT’s influence in preserving and creating jobs across the state. “ITT’s investment in supporting businesses such as Enidine in Orchard Park and others across the state will help secure existing jobs and create new ones. ESD’s partnership with ITT sends a positive message about New York’s commitment to economic development and job creation,” Gallivan said.

State Senator John W. Mannion also praised the investment’s significance for Onondaga County’s workforce and manufacturing economy. “By partnering with ITT Inc., we’re supporting our region’s long history of innovation and job creation. I thank Governor Hochul and Empire State Development for helping to bring this significant new investment to our community,” Mannion said.

State Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan emphasized the enduring presence of Goulds Pumps, an ITT subsidiary, in Seneca Falls. “Goulds Pumps has been a staple of the Town of Seneca Falls for over 175 years, employing hundreds of skilled workers. New opportunities and further expansion are on the way thanks to this excellent investment,” Gallahan said.
