There will be playoff football on Monday night but it won’t be the NFL’s Monday Night Football.
The NFL had at least one game on Monday night every week except for Week 18, including a playoff game on wild-card weekend.
The ESPN/ABC Monday Night Football schedule ended with the Los Angeles Rams’ smothering of Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the postseason.
There were 22 Monday night games in the 2024 season, with two games in Weeks 3, 4, 7 and 15 due to a broadcasting deal between the NFL and ESPN for additional games to air on ABC.

Most Monday Night Football games kick off at 8:15 p.m.
The NFL didn’t have a Monday Night Football game in the 2024 preseason. The first Monday night game was in Week 1, with the San Francisco 49ers running past the New York Jets 32-19 in Aaron Rodgers’ return from a torn Achilles.
The first Monday Night Football game next season will be Sept. 8, 2025.
