If Iowa women’s basketball is going to deliver a successful season in Jan Jensen’s first campaign as head coach, Lucy Olsen and Hannah Stuelke will big major reasons why.
Both Iowa standouts have been named to the USA TODAY Sports Network’s preseason All-Big Ten women’s basketball teams. Olsen is a first-team selection. Stuelke is a second-team selection.
Although similar in importance, these two Hawkeyes took different paths to Iowa City. Stuelke committed to Iowa as a high school freshman and had key roles on the Hawkeyes’ back-to-back Final Four squads. Olsen joined the program through the transfer portal this offseason after starting three years at Villanova. Her final year of eligibility will be spent as Iowa’s offensive anchor.
