C40 Cities is excited to launch ‘Jobs For Our Future’, a programme designed to help young people discover and succeed in good, green jobs.
This initiative will offer guidance and resources to empower youth to join the fast-growing green economy and take the lead in shaping a sustainable future.
Good, green jobs are critical for tackling the climate crisis—they avoid environmental harm, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect nature, and improve wellbeing. They provide fair wages, safe conditions, and stable employment across various sectors like construction, transport, energy, waste management, and healthcare. These jobs vary by region based on local economies, but they all play a key role in driving a just and inclusive transition to a greener world.
With industries increasingly adopting sustainable practices, opportunities for young people to build meaningful careers in green sectors are on the rise. This programme aims to connect youth with the tools they need to seize those opportunities and become part of the solution.
