The Panthers (1-1) got blown out on opening night by Illinois before blowing out Division III Earlham two nights later. Nakyel Shelton averages 15.0 points and Artese Stapleton (14.0). Silver Creek High School alum Kooper Jacobi adds 11.5 points and 9.0 rebounds. Former IU player Marty Simmons is in his fourth season as EIU coach.

Eastern struggled at Illinois and will struggle at IU. The Hoosiers should look a little more polished than they did against SIU-Edwardsville, particularly offensively. With a few more scores and a couple turnovers lopped off the top, Indiana looks more efficient and wins better than it did Wednesday night.
ESPN’s matchup predictor gives IU a 97.8% chance of winning.
