88.6 – FOUR! Another good-looking shot from Nitish! An overpitched delivery by Boland, around off, Nitish Kumar Reddy takes his front foot out and with a good elbow-extension, he plays with a straight bat and drives it down the ground, right behind the bowler for a cracking boundary. India now trail by 176 runs as the stand grows to 77 runs.

88.5 – Good length and swinging away a shy bit from outside off. Reddy leaves it alone.
88.4 – Back of a length angling into the middle and leg. Reddy clips it to forward square leg.
88.3 – Oh, hello! What was Nitish trying to there? A rush of blood, but totally unnecessary!
88.2 – Fires in on a good length, with an extra bit of bounce and a nip back in as well. Nitish Kumar Reddy prepares to leave but the ball just jags back enough to ping him on the elbow of the bottom hand before going to the slips on the bounce.
DRINKS! They say, it’s not over until it’s over and these two – Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar are just proving this thing right at the moment. They have now mounted a partnership of 73 runs, which has come at a decent pace as well. More importantly, India have avoided the follow-on and trail by under 200 runs now. For Australia, likewise India, they haven’t been able to cash in with the new ball as there has been next-to-little movement on this surface. Australia’s aim will be to get rid of these two batters as quickly as possible before the stand really frustrates them up. As things stand, India is still behind the hosts as they trail by 180 runs. Let’s see how this half pans out. Scott Boland to continue.
88.1 – Nagging length, on off, blocked off the front foot by Nitish.

Full ball, on off, Sundar pushes it firmly to mid off where Travis Head picks and throws in a motion to the non-striker’s end but has a shy. Washington Sundar puts on the afterburners to reach to the other end and gets there safely with a timely slide in.

86.3 – BEATEN! What an immaculate angle and line! Bowls it in the channel, outside off, just holding its shape around off, Washington Sundar has a feel for it and draws his front foot out to defend. Ends up playing inside the line of the ball and it zips past the outside edge.

84.6 – FOUR, but the batters do it by running! Young quick legs. And Starc seemingly looks unhappy with the effort by Nathan Lyon in the deep. Fuller and on the middle and leg, Washington Sundar maintains good balance as he flicks it across and gets it past mid-wicket. It however, slows down just before the ropes and plugs in the grass. Nathan Lyon chases it but the batters hurry back for the fourth run.
