The Indian men’s cricket team will clash against familiar foes Australia in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 sem-finals at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the UAE on Tuesday.
The IND vs AUS Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final match will start at 2:30 PM IST. Live streaming and live telecast of the India vs Australia encounter will be available in India.
India made it to the top four after comfortably winning Group A with a perfect three win-no loss record. Rohit Sharma and Co. beat Bangladesh in the opener before comfortably brushing aside last edition’s champions and co-hosts Pakistan.
In their final group game, the Men in Blue beat New Zealand by 44 runs to top the group.
Meanwhile, the Australian cricket team finished runners up in Group B behind South Africa. However, Steve Smith’s men have played just one match in the tournament – a high-scoring win in their opener against England.
The Aussies’ subsequent matches against the Proteas and Afghanistan were washed out.
Tuesday’s clash will also see two of the most successful teams in Champions Trophy history go up against each other. Australia won the title in 2006 and 2009 while India were champions in 2013 and the co-winners in 2002.
India and Australia have faced each other 151 times in ODI cricket. The Men in Blue have won 57 matches compared to 84 by the Aussies. Ten matches yielded no winner.
In the Champions Trophy context, however, India have had the upper hand with two wins compared to Australia’s one.
