Did you decide that 2025 is the year that you focus on fitness? Exercising more or losing weight are among the top New Year’s resolutions among American adults who make them. However, CBS News notes, “While nearly half of Americans make New Year’s resolutions, only about 25% of people stay committed to their resolutions after just 30 days, according to Columbia University. And even fewer, less than 10%, accomplish their goals.”
So, how can you stick to a new fitness resolution?
Independent fitness instructor Morgan Gardner-Catanese offers some good advice. “Try something that you like to do. If you like to dance, take a dance class–that makes it a little easier to forget that you are working out.” The 34-year-old Detroit transplant also advises to go out into the community. “There are so many great fitness classes in the Detroit area–every night of the week you can find a class where you can gain muscle and flexibility with a great instructor.”
