LAFAYETTE — The 2025 IHSAA girls basketball sectional playoff bracket has been released.
With 28 Lafayette area teams competing in classes 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A — the sectional draw brings its own share of surprises and matchups that keep high school sports fans on the edge of their seat.
Reclassifications also occurred before the 2024-2025 season.
Central Catholic was moved to class 1A after capturing the IHSAA class 2A sectional title while 3A sectional champion Benton Central switched to 2A after winning the 3A sectional title.
Here’s a look at the IHSAA girls basketball sectional draw from the Lafayette area perspective.

Harrison class 4A sectional bracket:
Harrison (6-15), Kokomo (14-7), Lafayette Jeff (15-4), McCutcheon (20-3)
Twin Lakes class 3A sectional bracket:
Other 3A sectional teams: Frankfort (0-20) plays against Tri-West Hendricks (11-9) in the Lebanon sectional on Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. Winner plays Guerin Catholic (9-9) in the semifinals. Crawfordsville (2-17) plays Danville in the Lebanon sectional on Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.
Rensselaer class 2A sectional bracket:
Other 2A sectional teams: Southmont (8-10) plays North Putnam (12-9) in the Greencastle sectional first round on Feb. 4. Winner plays against Greencastle (7-14) Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
