Kenny Roseman has resigned as boys basketball coach at Bishop Chatard.
Roseman, who guided Chatard to a 40-31 record in three seasons at the school, said Thursday night his assistant coaches from last season told him in recent weeks they would not be able to come back this season due to their jobs outside of coaching, all unrelated.
Roseman, who teaches at Washington High School, told the team Thursday of his decision to step down immediately.
He posted his on social media Friday morning: “It is with sadness than I am resigning from Bishop Chatard today. It has never been about wins and losses for me but more importantly the relationships built with the families, players, alumni, student body and administration that I am going to miss the most.”
It is unclear where Roseman’s son Ethan, a junior guard and Chatard’s leading scorer last season, will attend school this year.
