Former Pakistan player Rashid Khan has opined on India’s refusal to play the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in the country. The Indian government is not in favour of the Men in Blue travelling to Pakistan, and the cricket board has informed the International Cricket Council about this outcome.
The PCB is miffed with India and has urged the government to inform them about the future course of action. According to multiple reports, Pakistan will not play against India in any ICC tournament or the Asia Cup. Also, they will withdraw from the Champions Trophy if the event is held in another country.
Latif didn’t say that BCCI should be banned or some action should be taken against the parties involved. “I don’t want to speak on anybody’s behalf. If I had had the authority and power to make decisions, I would have stopped playing against India. If they don’t want to play against us, let’s do it.
“I would have cut the cricket ties with India and fought with the BCCI to see who is more powerful,” he told PTI.
Pakistan are not interested in a hybrid model and have informed the governing body of international cricket about their decision. India wanted its games in Dubai, but Pakistan turned down their appeal.
