Comfortable. As far as neck pillows go, this one is by far the comfiest I’ve tried (and I’ve bought a lot at airport gift shops). The hypoallergenic fabric is super soft, but not itchy. It wraps around your neck like a scarf, but it doesn’t restrict breathing. I kept it on while watching TV or reading solely because of how supportive it is.
Support. I felt more support from the Trtl pillow than other ones I’ve used. It kept my head stable so it didn’t bob as I drifted off to sleep. I woke up without feeling any neck pain or stiffness. Honestly, the plastic insert felt a little flimsy, like it couldn’t hold my head up for longer periods of time, however, its internal support system is scientifically proven to ensure better head and neck alignment, so I really just needed to trust the process.
Compact nature. One of my favorite things is how compact it is. The Trtl pillow is about half the size of a traditional travel pillow. It comes with its own little bag so you can fold it up and stow it away. I was able to put it in my carry-on without it taking up extra space. I loved not having to clip a big pillow to the outside of my backpack.
Easy to care for. The Trtl pillow is machine-washable, which I was extremely grateful for after spilling food on it. All you have to do is remove the plastic insert and throw it in with your other laundry. Easy-peasy.
