Mats Hummels is reportedly ready to make his return to Roma’s starting line-up.
In recent weeks, the German veteran’s performances had dropped off, culminating in the match against Milan which the Giallorossi lost 3-1 with one of Hummels’ most negative displays since joining the capital club in the summer.
After that defeat, Claudio Ranieri preferred to give the ex-Borussia Dortmund man time to rest and recover.
Thus, the player was excluded from Roma’s line-up for the past three consecutive games.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Hummels is ready and will be inserted in Ranieri’s line-up on Thursday night as Roma face Porto in the return leg of the Europa League playoffs.
The German centerback will play alongside Evan Ndicka and Gianluca Mancini.
